Actually yes! A majority are ripped off from other really good sticker packs! I have yet to add a sticker that says that or gives props to the originals.
Cant you make something like this using After Effects? Idk how that telegram thingy works, but I learned After effects in college and honestly its a pretty easy and fun software to use after you get used to it.

Yep! this was in AE - Telegram's specific plug in is through after effects!
But you gotta make the assets in AI which is THE MAJORITY of why this was garbage to do. The other huge reason, is that the plugin is SO DANG PICKY you can't use like, 95% of why AE is cool :( like layer effects, or time remapping, or >images< it's ridiculous xD

Well, in order to make WhatsApp stickers, you have to have program the whole Android app, with all that it entails (installing Android Studio, installing Android API, installing adb drivers for your phone, etc, etc). Not to mention stickers aren't cross-platform, so you will have to make separate app for iOS, with all that it entails (paying Apple, getting your app manually approved, etc, etc).

That's the official way to make a sticker pack. They provide source code for sample app, where you need to modify it with things like title, icons, package name, configure contents.json, place your sticker pictures in folders (format *.webp), etc. I order to install a sticker pack, user need to install that app that you made. One app can have only 3 sticker packs, so you need to keep making new apps as you make sticker packs. The unofficial way is to download one of those "whatsapp sticker maker apps" that are full of ads, they allow to import PNGs and JPEGs to make own sticker packs. Of course, there's no way to distribute sticker packs that were made that way, only you can use them. Well, animated stickers are not supported at all, so...
