Yeah, orokin reactors (and orokin catalysts) are from warframe, and since their icon looks like a potato they're sometimes called that.

warframe vet here.

Orokin reactors and catalysts are actually called potatoes mainly because of an animated skit where some clanmates were discussing who had to cut the "potatoes" for their leader. The job fell onto a particuliarly lazy loki who decided to screw it off by putting down his decoy. Unfortunately, someone comes along to check his progress and the decoy, of course, isn't actually able to do anything beyond be annoying.
