It would be such a shame to spend several hundred words per submission repeating my characters' lifestyles, profiles, and personalities over and over again. I know it's not a good example of professional writing on my part, but to waste so much space for a purely recreational and unorthodox action (posting stories on DA) is frustrating and not the least bit beneficiary. So this submission is merely a teaser for my two very first characters: Borg and Randy.
Borg is a scaly of unknown specifications. The earliest record of him was as an infant raised by a bright iguana couple in the suburbs of Redmond, Washington. Due to his unique appearance and spotty history, it made it impossible to classify him as a known species. They can't even tell if he is a dragon or a lizard. Scientists, however, do speculate that if such a species could exist commonly, it could affect numerous conditions of the world, as Borg is not like any other scaly.
He is a bright, red lizard standing upright and has developed an anthropomorphic stance about him. His belly scales (implying that he's a lizard) are a brighter yellow with black outlines on the edge of his stomach. He stands 5' 11" and weighs 150 lbs. (that, however, does not reflect his actual eating habits!). His face is saurian in texture and his eyes are a blast of emerald green. A black, zigzag design surrounds his right eye much in a way a black spot covers a Jack Russel dog's eye. Oddly enough, he wears a set of bifocals and there is no evidence of any eye problems he deals with. But the strangest factor of him is the pair of horns shooting backwards out the top of his skull (implying that he's a dragon).
The most prevalent personality of Borg's is his vindictiveness and vulgarness. A common element of my stories is Borg set in an ordinary (or extraordinary) situation and how he deals with it. "Hey Borg! Can you show me where Phil's Diner is?" "You don't know where it is? With you're fat ass blocking the sunlight, I thought you stopped there on you're way here." Note: just because Borg acts like this doesn't mean I do, so it's still safe to comment me! But he is vastly intelligent, making it both a blessing and a curse, as he is the only scaly in town and it somehow only tempts his aggressiveness. He's somewhat like House in every way.
Even though he's quite thin, his calorie intake is unbelievable! Being exothermic (cold-blooded in layman's terms), he sure can stuff his face all year 'round. It's one of the main causes of his high IQ. The reason why, in real life, mammals carry a larger brain capacity than reptiles is because of their fluctuating food intakes. Borg's metabolism is so through the roof that it is said that by the time the food enters his stomach, it would already have been completely digested. My stories won't be concerned about his eating habits, however, but it's something to note.
Every character needs a "foil" character. For Borg, that person is Randy. There's not much to say about him other than he's a wolf (I bet psylantwolf already made Randy his favorite character because I said this) and he contains the exact opposite preferences that Borg has. Instead of being aggressively smart and blatant, he is moderately intelligent and does not use that as an excuse to be a jackass towards others. He and Borg are at a bitter rivalry (Borg almost always wins, however. Brains beat morality all the time.).
Having the same weight as Borg but shorter, Randy is no match against the dragon/lizard of unknown origins. Other than having a lupine appearance and anthropomorphic shape, the only other notable feature on him is a yellow "T" design on his belly fur. This makes him one of the last known descendants of the Sokikte Wolves thousands of years ago (It's made up. Don't try to find that word anywhere). At least Randy has incentives to be good for the sake of his ancestry whereas Borg can fuck with people with little to no constraints.
And there you have it! I formulated detailed descriptions of my first two characters. So you don't get confused, know that Borg is my fursona, not Randy. If you can read this teaser, I won't have to copy it down on every submission. X3
