The Daimyo's Deception part 1
The high-sea adventures of Alicia's pirate ancestor, Captain Amanda Young, set sail!
In fact, we also meet an ancestor of my other OCs, Jude's sea-faring foremother, Captain Jane Haddock!

Captain Jane Haddock, pirate hunter for the British Royal Navy, had been scouring the small islands of the Bahamas for weeks now.
As per King George’s order to bring the pirate settlement of Nassau back under British control, Captain Jane was tasked to make sure no ships left port without authorisation.
But her father, a decorated admiral, always taught her that quiet seas still hide danger, and the young rabbit had strong suspicions that the pirates only kept up the appearance of laying low, while secretly sailing out under cover of night and use narrow passages between islands to evade patrols.

Word from one of her scouts came in: a suspicious ship had laid anchor behind an island not far from Nassau.
Reports were that it was none other than the “Athena” a stolen British frigate now under the command of the infamous pirate captain Amanda Young.
Fortunately, continued the scout, the crew of said ship appeared to have put up a camp on the beach and music was sounding from the deck, suggesting the criminals were planning to stay at least until next dawn.
Jane laid out her plans: to avoid drawing attention, they would sail most of the way and then she’d take a dinghy to approach the camp alone, hoping to arrest several of the marauders while they were cut off from their ship.

The first part of the plan went off without a hitch and Jane arrived at the camp without being detected, but by then the sun had begun to set and all the tents had disappeared.
Only one person was still sitting on the beach, next to a burlap sack most likely containing the last equipment.
It was Amanda herself, humming a carefree ditty, sipping from a bottle of rum and looking at the Athena, where the party was still in full swing.
The bunny drew her sabre and calmly approached the cat. “Amanda Young, on the authority invested in me by King George of Great Britain, I hereby place you under arrest for the crime of piracy.”
Undisturbed, the feline took one more swig of rum, then calmly rose to her feet. “Ah, the Royal Navy, still walking into ambushes like usual, aye?”
Jane stopped in her tracks, quirking an eyebrow in suspicion. “E-excuse me?”
The evil captain chuckled. “Here you are, looking pirates to bring to the Crown’s justice and finding one of their leaders all neatly alone while there was a full camp just earlier today. Doesn’t that strike you as a little too… convenient?” Without further warning, Amanda whirled around, and a gunshot cut through the air.

Jane yelled as her sword went flying, clasping her hand in pain.
There was no blood, fortunately, and the pain quickly dulled: it appeared that the pirate simply wanted to disarm her with a well-placed pistol round.
However, while the rabbit was distracted, her opponent rushed at her and pushed her up against a palm tree, and quickly restrained her ropes from the bag she had with her.
“Unhand me you fiend!” Jane struggled fiercely as she got tied tightly to the tree, her weapons thrown out in the sand. “You can forget about a pardon now, pirate! I’ll personally see you h-nngfff!”
Unmoved by the bunny’s threats, Amanda had patted down her captive’s coat to pull out her handkerchief, which she promptly stuffed into Jane’s mouth.
She then fished a spare bandana out of the burlap sack to further gag her with. “That be enough out of ye, captain.” Amanda mocked her helpless foe.

“Now, I’m sure your diligent crew is close by to come rescue their brave commander, so try to get comfortable~” Walking off to the dinghy to row back to her ship, Amanda turned around to blow her captive a goodbye kiss. “And next time, I won’t go easy on you anymore! Until we meet again, me heartie~!”
