When I was playing Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled on Switch, when Komodo Joe was falling down like that, his keffiyeh/helmet was removed from his head a bit, where we get to see that he's bald. Poor Joe. Same thing will go for Komodo Moe too.

This is why I like it when he has spikes on his head, inspired by

ToraSeiya and his prototype design back when he and his brother were originally gonna be in the first Crash Bandicoot game:
