Flamey's Tale
A New world
The two mana dragons snuggled affectionately together upon a rooftop watching the suns brilliance rise into the sky. As this would be their last morning they would spend upon earth. The birds sang out joyously to the new days emergence as the wet ground itself glittered and reflected the suns light like jewels in a treasure chest. The air itself was fresh and clean with each breath they took. Slowly as a deep rumble welled with in each of them enjoying the last moments of the suns rises grand performance. Flamey leaned his body gently against Flammies as his head tilted to the side a soft tender lick played across Flammies check as the other grinned slightly in a playful way.
"It's not often one gets to enjoy another worlds sunrise Flamey together with their true mate at their side. It makes for quite a memorable moment to cherish."
Flamey nodded slightly, "Indeed this is honestly the first time I spent watching the sun rise like this... I wish I would of seen it a bit more often but honestly I wouldn't have it any other way."
A deep rumble welled with in Flammie chest rising slowly to his feet, his right ear had been oddly twitching as of late from to time. Flamey also noticed the slight wild look in flammies eyes that seamed to come an go.
"My precious flamey, we shouldn't stay for to long in your old world. It's not a place for our kind to be for to long." A soft sigh escaped him as he looked a bit sorrowful. "I'd love to stay longer if it were possible but I do not want to risk you and our children safety."
Flamey rose to his feet his right forepaw moving to caress over the gravid swell in his belly flushing a bit deeply looking down at himself for a moment then back towards his mate. "What do you mean? It's not safe?"
The cute puppy dogish look Flamey gave when he asked his question took flammie by surprise as he couldn't but help to laugh a little bit. Slowly shaking his head a few times and opening his eyes looking into his mates. Those eyes looked wild and feral for a few moments before they softened into those loving eyes Flamey knew. "A world with out mana or home world that has lost its manna will cause any mana creature to loose themselves in madness."
A soft sigh escaped Flammie as he turned and looked towards the west. "Currently and luckily a portal to our home is open in this world close by. Enough mana is leaking though the opening to sustain a single mana creature such as yourselves quite some time normally. But not with out risk to a world in which mana is foreign entity."
"I.. I see..." Flamey looked towards his forepaws milling all that was said for a few moments. "So the unexpected bad weather conditions over the last months around this world was the result of this portal being opened?" Those lovely eyes slowly looked up towards Flammie with concern.
"Yes, I tried a few attempts that failed badly that was before I realized your world had no mana of it's own. Those attempts may have caused this worlds nature to act strangely. But now with the portals mana being expended so much. When it finally closes the effects of the mana leaving this world will most likely go unnoticed. Thankfully the next time I make a portal to this world the effects of its opening should go completely unnoticed having spent some quality time here." Flammie chuckled softly. "Come, we should be going."
"...Seroiusly?" Flamey followed behind flammie while he nodded his head in response. "That does mean a lot to be able to see family once again after some time. I would very much like you to meet them to and for our children as well."
Flammie stopped and looked over his shoulder towards flamey with a smile, "I'd love to meet them in time with our young, but for now love less talking and more flapp'n those lovely wings of yours."
An with that Flammie spread wish wings and took the sky with ease. His accent stopped a few moments later as he turned around and hovered in place in the sky awaiting his mate to take flight. All the while Flamey couldn't help but to watch on in awe at the sight of his mate taking flight and hovering in the sky awaiting him. A few moments passed before Flamey realized it was his turn and he looked over his own shoulder at his own wings. A few moment past before his wings started to fidget at first getting a feel for them. Them slowly one by one his four wings spread out fully preparing to propel him on his maiden flight. Flamey closed his eyes picturing himself taking off and flying and feeling the wind under his wings and his body soaring into the sky. He could feel the powerful wing muscles tensing more and more as he took a deep breath. It was only then he felt something else a foreign lingering sense of power. That was comforting and warm like a lovers touch and yet it seamed so fragile. It flowed though him giving him strength a new found surge of strength as the first flap of his four wings pulled him off the ground with ease. Although there was a few moments he stumbled in the air swaying from one side to the other before his body learned the proper rhythm to flight with his four wings. Slowly and steadily the young mana dragon rose skyward to meet his mate in the sky with quite a big grin.
"Nicely done love, I knew you could do it." Flammie rumbled admiring his mate in flight, "Your body knows what it can do love. So you do not need to worry to much everything will become second nature in no time." Flammies head turned to the west once again as he pointed with his snout. "You can see the portal from here. It's hidden to those not mana touched to reduce the risk of anything accidentally entering it."
Flamey looked to the west in the direction his mate was pointing, it took a few moments for his eyes to adjust how far it was. He was indeed surprised how far he could see into the distance now. So much farther then he ever could as a human before and clearer. But not only that he could make out the engery swirling around a rift in the sky. Energy flowing into this world and then vanishing or was it being pulled into the portal and vanishing. Just watching it for serveral long seconds made flamey shiver a little by instinct alone from the unknown. "That's a bit creepy looking, it gives me the shivers...."
"You'll get over it in a little bit, it's safe to use. So just follow me" Flammie rumbled deeply.
Flammies wings flapped powerfully a few times and began flying towards the portal. Soon after flamey followed expending a bit more energy to catch up as he flew along side flammie. The two exchanged glances with grins upon one anothers faces enjoying the wind passing across their bodies, below each of their wing beats. The thrill of flight being so free in the big blue sky with no earthly attachments was a trilling feeling. Along with the sun rising higher into the morning sky no one below noticed the two mana dragons in flight over head expect maybe a couple odd shadows passing across the ground rapidly. As they drew closer Flamey could feel more of that foreign power welling with him. He could feel something ignite deep in his center that seamed to flow into his gravid belly with great radiance and warmth. His eyes closed for a few moments savoring the feeling. His right forepaw rubbed his gravid belly for a few moments basking in the warmth and pleasure.
Flamey eyes slowly opened shining with a lovely radiant blue "So... This is mana.." He whispered looking towards Flammie.
He saw his mates lovely eyes aglow in the very radiance he was basking in. Only a nod was given in reply as the two turned their attention to the portal before them. Flameys eyes opened wider seeing the power that the portal possessed as he drew closer by the moment. Understanding it more and more as if he had created it himself. No! As if by instinct this type of magic was apart of him. He reached out towards the portal and at the moment his claw tips touched the portal the world itself went dark. A strong sense of knowing and understanding filled his mind and there was no more fear as he just knew. This was natural to him, he just knew everything will be alright soon enough.
The darkness abruptly became light, the quite stillness become a roar. The overwhelming sensory of scents assaulted flamey all at once. The air around his body felt lighter or did his body get stronger, all along he felt as if he was falling? His entire world and sensory was jumbled around as his mind and body struggled to make sense of it all. It was only then he felt a familiar presence or was it warmth grasping him holding him. He no longer felt like he was falling his eyes blinked, his ears twitched as the world around him begun to come to life. A voice was calling out to him softly sounding concerned. Flamey looked up as his eyes soon focused he could see the concerned look upon flammies face.
"Wow that was quite the trip!" flamey chuckled softly looking towards his mate trying to ease his concern.
Flammie blinked a few times and shook his head, "Silly flamey, You had me worried for a moment. I am glad your safe now."
Flammie released flamey as the young mana dragon easily flew along side his mate. It was then flamey noticed something was admiss. He slowed down and hovered in the air. Flammie and turned around as he hovered along side his bewildered mate. Before the young mana dragons eyes laid this worlds lands each one with its own unique biome. There were great forests that stretched from the oceans to the mountains. As derests cropped up along the equator. The jungles could be clearly seen along with islands dotting the seas. The height in which they flew and how far he could see so clearly was breath taking. It was like the world itself was laid out like a map before him. Any place he could ever wish to go, visit or explore felt like it was only a few wing flaps away.
"Is this your.. o..our world flammie?" softly asked.
"Yes, it is flamey" a pleased rumble welled with in the older mana dragons chest. "What do you think of it my mate?"
A long pause followed as tears slowly welled with in the younger mana dragons eyes. Flammie looked on with some concern for his mate before the silence was broken.
"I have never seen the likes of it, not even in my wildest dreams.. So pure, vibrant and natural. I feel... I .. I feel as if I truly came home..." Flamey gently embraced Flammie rubbing his snout into the his mates chest tenderly with a sniffle or two. The two remained hovering in the sky for serveral long minutes before flammie broke the embrace with a warm smile and soft rumbling voice.
"Come my mate, lets go home.." The older mana dragon then turned with a playful lift and sway of his tail before heading towards mountains in the north in which he made his home.
Flamey flushed bright red and with a playful growl chased after his mates tail. "Get back here you tease!"
