A little something personal, quick and sketchy but that's how I like it, been meaning to finish and post it for a bit yet.

The pride flag is rather self explanatory;
The colors on the Mandalorian emblem are not, and are taken from the armor color meanings. Much though I'm edgy trash and enjoy the black+red aesthetic, my predominant color is green (duty).

Red is for honoring parents; Really, my parents and even extended family are pretty great overall. About the worst I've gotten besides some initial surprise on finding out I was bi/demisexual is reminding me that adoption is a perfectly fine way of getting them grandchildren/nieces/etc, which really is somewhat endearingly normal for any couple to have. I have no real complaints, and that is unusual enough for LGBT people that it is worthy of note.

Black is for justice; LGBT people are overall getting to live their lives with pretty much the same rights and expectations as anyone else. It's long overdue, and still the exception rather than the rule across the world, but it's progress.

Gold, for those with sharp eyes to see it as the backing, is for vengeance; I really don't have anything to complain about for my own sake, but I've helped a number of people who were abused, rejected, beaten, and neglected. All those heartwarming stories of families who love their kids so much they totally accept them for who they are, are only noteworthy if they're not the norm. For those who haven't had it so easy, I've got plenty of vengeance in their stead.

On the Mandalorians; I've had a number of family members ask me about them, why I took to them so strongly, so much that I asked my husband to marry me with their wedding vows. For those unfamiliar, they're a fighty spacenomad culture from Star Wars, the two best-known being Jango and Boba Fett. For those familiar with them, the only question is how I didn't find my way to them sooner.
When not serving the StarWars universe as designated badguys to make whatever villain actually a worthwhile threat by way of "top badguy punched the Mandalore and now has a super conquering army at their command," the Mandalorians are nomads with a tendency towards duty, honor, and resilience. Their tenets are to be able to fight, and to raise children. LGBT? Perfectly fine, adoption is every bit as legit, they don't care who you love; As long as you can fight to protect them, and raise children whether your own or those close to you, you are welcome. Their language is genderless and to the point. There's no word for hero, an honorific bestowed to those who risk themselves to do what needs to be done. Their culture and celebrations tend to be inclusive, focused on honoring the fallen and celebrating life for those who are left, with little in the way of needless ceremony or pageantry.Everything is simple enough to be performed wherever one might be, because nomads wander.

I've been told that I could probably hunt through and find a church that accepted LGBT, but why would I do that? I'm not so tied to a religion that I want to dig through all the churches that want me dead to find one that acknowledges my right to exist. If I go looking for that sort of thing, I want one that welcomes me with no reservation or hesitation, no need to search for a particular one that breaks doctrine to allow me in and may be taken over or change its mind at any time.

And so here I stay, a trainer registered with Operation Blazing Sword, prepared to defend those dear to me.
Ke nu'jurkadir sha Mando'ade; Don't mess with the Mandalorians.
