Still practicing the tablet. Maybe i went overboard with the burning... I did this with only a photoshop, which is new for me since i never use it alone before. I'm more comfortable with paint tool sai but i need to branch out so i'm trying my hands on using only photoshop with no other program.

Edit:
Okay, first upload was a sore-eye because i don't know how to use dodge/burn tool so i repainted toothless without those tools. Maybe its a little dull now, but at least the color doesn't hurts the eyes much like before. I need a better color palette next time.

I'm beginning to dislike painting on the same layer of the outline. I'm actually FORCED to color within the line!

Looks great, but my best suggestion is:
Never use the burn/dodge tool, it makes the color job look cheap. I know some digital artist live by burn/dodge, but if you want a better effect use actual colors, select the shadows that work best with your set and you'll see that it will all come out much more nicely. :]

i'm gonna try to clean this up... maybe i can still salvage this paint job one way or another. Else i'll just repaint the toothless, with real colors.

This edit look a lot better. It may not be as intence but
the colors blend better and it looks more natural. If you
do a third version and scrap this one please make it a totally
different submission and maybe put it in a pool so we can
compare the two versions. Otherwise great job.
