Thanks for the fave - I really don't understand how nobody understood who it was since I first posted it on FA.

I mean ... Come on. It's a fan art. About a game. It's a RPG. There are two of them so far, one got released in 2007 on PC and is one of the greatest games of all times, and the second is ... Not as good as the first one, by far, but still an excellent game, and got released in 2011 on PC and consucks (Failstation 3 and RRoDbox 360) and is actually one of the most beautiful games ever made, on PC that is, since consoles fail at it (though once again, the gameplay suffered because of them: QTEs, slow action based character, casualization in general)

It's also probably the best looking RPG yet, in technical terms.
(this ins an actual screenshot form the game, and it's not from a cutscene)

The hero is a real badass (which is rare now, even for evil guys - Most look like gay otakus that I could enjoy torturing) and the game, though it haves a really linear gameplay, offers an incredibly non linear story, probably one of the best ones so far, with real choices to make, and you *really* have to think about consequences.

Since nobody seem able to get who he is, well it's Geralt "white wolf" of Rivia, a Witcher ... In a game called "The Witcher", actually.

Witchers are basically well trained "independant" (They don't belong to a government or something, but have an order and a honor code) monsters and criminals hunters.

They basically fight with swords, some little spells, and alchimy, since they're "mutants". When they join, they have to sruvive a special rite. If they do, they become ... modified byt the plants they ate, loose most of theirs emotions in order to be able to endure responsabilites. They also become immune to diseases, and have an affinity with potions - during the whole game, you will have to make and use a lot of them to win your fights.

However, the world is changing, and the real evil is now making/following laws, everything becomes more grey than black and white and during the whole story, you will have to make choices (horrible ones) and you will regret lots of them. In fact, the best way to remain unscathed is to remain as neutral as possible ... except you can't, lol.

I always liked that scene from the first one... Believe me or not, but the guy is making a very bad choice here.

(lol you can have sex with the witch)

Sounds like a good game so far.^^ But I kinda, well... don't like computer or console RPG. I would most likely adapt it to play tabletop.

Computer is just the perfect choice for RPGs. The ability to make incredibly hard math stuff in no time enhances the gameplay, and provides real time stuff - forget dices and stuff, here, everything is based on complex things so hazard is totally left aside. And the real time part is perfect for immersion. Some are more action based than others, some are more ... "tactical" and sometimes turn based (though let's forget shitty japanese stuff) ... and the experience is always better on traditional tabletop stuff, trust me.

Take Drakensang for instance. It's basically a tablet RPG ... that was converted in a rather awesome way.

DAO worked well too.

Tabletop RPG is one of the few ways I have to socialize, actually, because it's enjoyable for me to play with friends. Sometimes we laugh more than we play, especially when I'm the referee. Plus there are crowding moments of awesome that wouldn't be so enjoyable alone and I like the whole imagination part.

Hmmm ... Most recent games somewhat allow imagination.

But I happen to have the same experience in most multiplayer games I own. I don't use IMs, or not a lot.
I have like, all my friends on steam. (37)
On those 37 people, There are ...
- 8 people I know well, and I talk to them everyday
- 1 is my brother x)
- 3 are, with me, part of what we call a gang. We always play with eachoter, ofter buy the same games/offer games to eachother, and do a lot of things in general ... We have a server, we use it for VOIP and we're basically using it everyday, and constantly while we play, no text chat for us. Trust me, for the laughing part, nothing is better than being with them on the VOIP and playing Magicka.
- 4-5 people are admins/moderators from some sites I know, mostly about hardware and videogames. I sometimes chat or play with them since they tend to know what they're talking about, and they sometimes use me as a source of infos.
- There are 3 babyfurs x)
- The rest ... it depends. Mostly people who are good at one particular game, and who I sometimes play with. There's also a master troll.

I can assure you that, in terms of social life, what I can do from my computer is better than what I could do here, in the countryside ... I used to play magic, for instance, but no players around here now. No tabletop RPG players either.
The most interesting activity, according to young people here, is getting drunk/stoned and having sex.
