Some problems have a way of creeping up on you. They can appear in our weaker moments when we feel tired or lost. Contrary to what movies and shows, stories and books tell us, the things we struggle with don't just go away like magic.
Like art, managing what we struggle with is not something that anyone is naturally born with or talented at doing, nor does it erase it from our lives. It takes time, patience, and above all else...faith in ourselves to work with it daily.
For some of us that work will be harder but it is never impossible, and that is the most important thing to remember especially in our times of weakness or relapse. YOU are not impossible. WE are not impossible.
I'll get better, because after so many years I have been getting better. If you've been going through some things yourself, I want you to know that it'll get better too. You're not alone with this, it doesn't define who you are, and it will not be this way forever.
So let's promise each other that we're going to do our best today. That we're going to try giving ourselves a break if only for a little, and doing our best to find the best in us, not the worst. We deserve that together.
