So to make things simple from what I can so far tell. After the events at the club with Angel, the story seems to jump ahead, showing what happened after the virus that was talked about in the past few chapters started to spread. This probably lead to the apocalyptic setting we're dealing with in Chapter 10 now.

GAH! I've should've spoken sooner. Bryce was honestly my last guess. Earlier on when I saw that he 'died', a thought in the back of my head told me that something wasn't right. I remember that he supposedly given bad medicine, and that was what caused his 'death'. What if the medicine caused a temporary stop to the organs long enough for him to be proclaimed dead...? Oh well, I held on to this thought for too long without speaking out. Gah....
