It wasn't love, but Coco and Jazz felt the same way towards one another. It was like they were old friends who haven't seen each other in years. "So~, you and Maxxi?" Jazz inquired, swirling his wine before taking a sip. Coco giggled.
"It was a tiny fling." SHe said, trailing her finger along the rim of the glass filled with sparkling apple cider.
"A fling that is still going?" Jazz asked, looking at her from under the rim of his hat. Coco took a dep breath and chuckled.
"Can't help it I guess." She said, sipping her drink. Jazz smiled back, jokingly clinking their lass together.
"How is the job coming?" Jazz asked, interestedin what she was doing.
"Good, the salon is getting busy, New Years coming up. It's fun, I see Morose there alot."
"Ah, Morose, Mister Pampered." Jazz said, gazin up.
"Be nice~, he's really nice, he said I'm the ONLY one to learn EXACTLY the perfect way to do his nails and moisturize his fur." Coco said, feeling proud.
"You work on him?"
"All the time, it's pretty easy, you fall into a pattern. Anyway, now YOU. How's Karat?"
"Good, she is good." Jazz said, setting his glass down.
"And the music?"
"I've hit a bit of a wall." He said, glancing down at the table.
"Oh, don't you worry, you'll think of something!" Coco said encourgingly
"I suppose so, and your art?" Jazz asked.
"Gettin' there."
"Really, last I checked you had almost made a sale." Jazz said, looking at ehr smirking.
"Yeah, but I didn't like the guy..."
"You nver do, now do you?"
Coco had recently taken up painting, and Jazz had to admit she was fenominal. She was able to bring a certian light to her work, making it seem like a view of the most amazing places.
"No...guess I have trust issues." Coco said, ears lowering.
"I understand, Coco. Don't worry." Jazz assured. tappin her foot under the table with his. Coco smiled at him.  Jazz looked up as their food arrived.  Coco had gotten her favorite salmon while Jazz settled for a lobster.  "So, how are you an Leon? You two haven't been around each other much." Jazz said.
"Oh, we're fine, I'm just trying not to be so clingy." Coco explained.
"Ah, I see, that's understandable." Jazz nodded.
"So, could you explain you and Leon five years ago?" Coco asked, eating some of her salmon.
Jazz blushed, "I was intoxicated, that's all." Coco smiled, she just wanted to be sure.

"You're something else, Coco?" Jazz said.  They had gone back to the penthouse and were sitting out on the patio, looking out at the city. Coco smiled.
"Really? How so?"
"You're...you're not like other girls...except Karat maybe.  I've never really compared you two." Jazz said.
"Yeah, I'm not some slut that sleeps around with men lik no tommorow." Jazz tossed her a look, "I'm not saying that about Karat! I mean...other girls my age. You know I would never say anythign bad about Karat." Coco said.
Jazz nodded and looked out at the city, "over there, just beyond the theater." Jazz said, pointing out. Coco stood next to him and found the old play theater. "A little ways from it, that's where I was raised, it's such a nice neighborhood." Jazz said. Coco looked and found it, it was across the city but she could still see.
"Why'd you come here?" COco asked. Jazz shrugged.
"Followed in my fathers footsteps for a while, then did what I wanted to...then I came here after meeting Leon. I still did my music, though...for a while my heart wasn't fully into it. Guess I should thank you for that." Jazz smiled at her, "you just kept annoying me until I got back into it. Thank you." Jazz said, patting he rshoulder. Coco smiled at him.
"Coco's annoying service, opn twenty four hours, that will be two hundred dollars please for services rendered." Coco said, holding her hand out. Jazz laughed and pushed her away.
"Get out of here." He laughed.
