Scenes from the WB toon "Knighty-Knight Bugs," which have been tweaked by yours truly. Twerking is by Bugs Bunny, who is property of Warner Bros. and their associates. That goes for the dragon, too. Dragonmaster Yosemite Sam is off-camera.
Thank you, Bafoomba! The pic is basically a pair of screen grabs with a redrawn Bugs in #1 and added pyrotechnics in #2. Glad you like it, and thanks for faving! ^+^

I found the crazy furry fandom back in 1997 rootin’ around the net on with my 56K modem for art of my all time cartoon crush since a youngun. Bugs Bunny. 🐇 heck my fursuit was gonna be Bugs, but I had to be more creative and settled on my favorite animal, and what I feel is more like me. Bear. 🐻 I still ❤️♥️💗❤️♥️💗 Bugs Bunny though. Awesome work on them cheeks too! 😉

Though I focus on my coyote pics, I am never very far from Bugs Bunny. He is, IMHO, the richest character to emerge from animation. He just has so much going on, how can you not love him? And, on the topic of his cheeks, the animators often focused on his "talent" in that area, so it's no surprise that he is a fixture when it comes to sex appeal in popular culture. That extends to the Warner Bros. comic books, too. Bugs frequently appears drawn fully bent over, with is exposed bunny-buns in full, glorious view. No doubt about it, Bugs wasn't shy, and neither were his artists. Thanks again for your complimentary feedback! ^•^

I always had a mild crush on Bugs to begin with (he filled out his baseball outfit in "Baseball Bugs" entirely too well) and so Our Host only adds to my delighted torment.

Yeah… thank you for referencing "Baseball Bugs," because the bunny gets his form put through a wealth of poses in that one, and looks like a heart-stealer in every frame. I am only too happy to know that this two-bit toss-off of mine has you thinking of the bunny's potent power to charm. I'm with you on his seductive power (artist R. Crumb says the very same thing about him).

Thanks for posting this kind of 'carrotcake' for my purview. And I smiled at R. Crumb's confession of carrying a picture of Bugs around in his pocket. But that remains entirely understandable.
And also, do you know how satisfying I find it to burp off the titles of Golden Age WBs and have someone who actually knows what I'm referencing?

I'm such a wack toonhead that I'm relieved to be able to discharge some of this hard-wired toon-data upon someone who will listen and care. (The Gashouse Gorillas don't care—they're gonna pound me into the mound right after I finish with you.)
*revisits Bugs' bunny-buns at top of page* Hehehe!! "Carrotcake!" Wonder if Crumb ever thought of that?

Do you know what they're referencing with the Gashouse Gorillas? NO GOOGLING!
One of the big problems with the Golden Age toons-- all of them-- is that they're very TOPICAL. Totally pop culture for the year they were produced. Esp. the WBs. The book reviews, the Hollywood all-stars, even the small number of Bugs-gets-homeless shorts, all deal with what was big at that time. And as those years recede ever backwards, the true punch of the jokes fades more. The character of Red from "Little Red Riding Rabbit" is a direct mock of the Bobby Soxer. What casual consumer of modern pop culture would even know that?
Time for the BONUS ROUND!!! Do you know what they're referencing with the Gashouse Gorillas? NO GO
"The five o'clock whistle is on the blink," and so is my ref on the Gorillas. You've called my bluff on this one and raised the stakes (takes off pants and hands them to you). So, I won't Google, unless you say it's ok to do so. What obscure ref gives the Gashouse Gorillas their moniker as Bugs' nemeses on the diamond?

The Gashouse Gorillas are based upon the Gashouse Gang: the 1934 St. Louis Cardinals. These dedicated professionals here: https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/four-players-from-... A gaggle of misfits and slobs who WON THE WORLD SERIES that year.
Full disclosure, if it wasn't for a baseball docu-show I accidentally watched in the early 2000s, I'd had never known about it either. I LOLed when the two teams were linked, on screen, in a serious voiceover.
See what I mean by pop culture shit so close to fading into forgotten past? Now let's go back and see how many references in Animaniacs would be considered Old People Knowledge now.
