Sonic still goes out on missions, for the Freedom Fighters and on some missions it'll take a week or more to finsh depending on the situation, So Sonic gets really excited to see Ash after so long even during the missions that could finish on the same day. But Ash also still works for Mina and her band as manager which takes him away from the kingdom, and sometimes Ash is never home during those times and when their both in the same place they try their best to meet up in secret since no one knows about them yet.
