I've been in martial arts most of my life, especially growing up. I know a few styles and variants, at one point yoga was even integrated. I loved the discipline and focus on technique. Having a healthy respect for pain leads to a healthy respect for others and how you treat them--a concept that more people are due to learn, in my opinion.
Funnily enough as many boards and bricks as I've broken, while I've cut myself plenty of times, I've never broken any of my own bones. Now I've jinxed it. D:
