Of all the members of Ednit's band of thieves, Dennis is both among its shadier members, while Caligari and Barry are genuine friends of Ednit's, Dennis was a hired gun brought in by Ednit during his late teens.
Dennis is a vampire, one who has lived for a bit more than two hundred years, he's a swordslinging, bloodthirsty sort who quite frankly prefers to 'draw his blood at the source', instead of getting blood through more humane methods. Why precisely he turned into an indiscriminate slaughterer will remain a mystery for now. As it stands however, while he's generally willing to kill whoever he can, for whatever money is offered. Ednit managed to hire him on retainer for a large amount of cash for about a decade.
This was because despite Barry's purpose as muscle, Ednit needed a fighter and killer to help with his plots. Having heard of Dennis, he persuaded him to join the gang. Though while Dennis enjoys the pay, he doesn't enjoy the various restrictions Ednit has put on him, and as such enjoys moonlighting to carry out assassinations on people who 'don't deserve it', this has also lead him to more recently take additional paychecks from Joshua Sanchez.
Dennis is currently in hot water due to more recent heists where he freely cut loose on civilians, but despite this has a part to play in Ednit's 'finale tour'. Unfortunately for them, Dennis' other employer has plans that Ednit may not like.
Though if you ever run into him, please do not point out his uncanny resemblence to Kanye West. It's bad enough that West has tried to sue Dennis for looking like him...
