Somebody asked me how much I can draw in an hour. It really varies. I aim for style accuracy, so I'll usually quote enough time for that.
At any rate, this image took an hour. The animated series version of Callie Briggs and Genie. So probably one medium detail character, fullbody, and a half-body of a low detail character (notice how Genie has no muscle detail, no spots/tattoos, limited clothing. Inking this image would probably take another hour, and flat characters with a speed painted background, probably another hour. It'd look like a single frame of animation.
If I had to do the movie version of the characters it might take double the time. If I have to do the comic book version of them it might take Quadruple the time. If I do a Poster version it might take 5x the time.
Even though I dream of doing the best quality everytime, I know realistically people have budgets. Let me know what you want and what your budget is, if its not enough for a comic version, it might be enough for the cartoon version or a doodle version. It might come out lovely anyways.
