Over the years, this, to Scar, weakness in him caused an undercurrent of anger toward Mufasa who, in Scar's eyes, was the perfect lion. Finally, even though Mufasa always showed love toward Scar, Scar's anger boiled over until he felt the only way he could show strength was to kill his braver brother.
