Gumball bets Richard that he could win his mother over as a kid, Richard retorting 'I'd like to see you try' in response... this caused Gumball to take it as a literal challenge, and after going back in time (by unconventional means) to the exact point that his parents met as kids and charming the socks off of his young mother, his father indeed 'sees him try'.
I have an alt with Nicole wearing the dress she wore during the season 1 flashbacks because I started out the pic with that since I'm so used to it. I realized later that it wasn't accurate to 'The Choices'.
