HollyAnn loves to play with the boys, as she's always been high energy and likes when things get physical! Plus, spending so much time with her uncle growing up, she learned to love his hobbies, and girls generally don't like to talk about cars and robotics.
One thing she never could share with the boys, however, was an interest in superheros. She just thought most of them were silly and their powers unattainable, so what was the point of fantasizing about them?
Then they started learning about Astronomy and Astrology in school, and she found herself wondering "What if the stars and constellations did have power?" And Star Chaos was born! She took Cassiopeia, The Queen as her symbol, as if anybody would have command over the stars, it would certainly be the queen of the stars!
Her family was glad to help her make her costume, and even bought her the small telescope and the sextant she decided she'd need to figure out where to ask the stars to teleport her. She also has the ability to call on the constellations to help her, for example, if she needs to find something, she can call on Orion the Hunter to find it.
I never really got the appeal of super heroes, either. But Star Chaos sounds pretty cool! I've always been fascinated by astronomy and space travel/exploration. So finally there's a super hero whose adventures I would follow! She looks pretty darn cute in that outfit, too.

This was actually inspired by a "What's your hero name" Twitter meme. My RL name would be "Rainbow Tentacle," which sounds kinda scary, but when I saw HollyAnn's name would be "Star Chaos," my imagination went surprisingly far, as in real life, Batman is the only superhero I have even the slightest interest in, mostly because he really is an ordinary man, with nothing but extraordinary means and motive. No far away planets, and no radioactive arachnids! HollyAnn...er, I mean Star Chaos...sees herself in much the same way, she's just an ordinary person who found a way to tap into extraordinary, but natural forces and can use them for her own purposes.
