Getting into a bit of a project with the husband. Here's one of the characters I designed for it! (you can safely ignore the notes on the left btw, I do those stream-of-consciousness as I'm working, it's mostly a personal reference thing)
I absolutely adore his look, I've never been able to draw a bird character who looks the way I want them to. I have a bit more work to do, mostly just deciding if I want to give him "hair" like he has in the middle right drawing, but as of now I consider this to have come together both quickly and pleasantly.
Ox is supposed to be a canary, but I suppose he could reasonably be any kind of generic yellow bird, couldn't he?
Once I start animating(!!!) the sprites for the project in question, I might very well share them here...
