If you guessed I was inspired by sailor moon r for this you were so right.
I've always loved the concept of the Xenian flower/Kisenian blossom from the movie and from what I've seen sailor moon hasn't done anything else with them so I decided to borrow the concept while also making quite a few changes. Also since I haven't done anything with Milo in ages I decided to revamp him so he fits into this idea.
Amatus comes from galaxy Messier 81 and is part of a long line of royals, he also has no siblings so he is the sole heir to the throne. Like his parents he believes in conquering territories so that their people can expand beyond their homeworld and its limited resources. Though Amatus does not engage in war if he can help it, instead he chooses to terraform the targeted planet so that the new atmosphere will kill off the original residents quickly and better suit his people for when they eventually take over. However, residents of the galaxy do not know him as the prince, they only know him as a man called "Milo" who works under the royal army to avoid possible assassination attempts by rebels. (He also never shows his face outside of his own planet for this reason).
Amatus' people are diverse, all ranging in different types of flowers, colors, and skin tones. They are also carnivores, feeding off of the giant bugs that inhabit their planet by injecting them with the neurotoxic venom their stingers contain (the false filament). This is also used as a defense against possible enemies. Meanwhile their true filament are used as legs to allow them to move around independently. The kingdom itself is relatively peaceful, citizens are allowed to live their lives how they choose so long as they follow the law and do not cause/threaten harm to other citizens or the royal family.
Ok since this is long enough, I might as well add his bio/species information:
Name: Amatus Rosaceae Nucifera
Homeworld: Paradisum
Species: Paradisien (Perennial plant/Humanoid hybrid alien)
Sexuality: Asexual
Romantic preferences: Biromantic
(Species relevant) Height: 7'8-9'0 (males), 6'8-8'11 (females)
(Species relevant) Weight: 442-568 ibs (Males), 426-542 ibs (female)
Height: 8'11
Weight: 556 ibs
Family: Rona Rosaceae (Mother/Queen of Paradisum), Mircea Nucifera (Father/King of Paradisum)
(Species relevant) Lifespan: 170 years
(Species relevant) Habitat: Found primarily in the Messier 81 galaxy, the Paradisien homeworld is comprised of wild jungles and hostile plant life. Though thanks to the species' desire to create an empire half of Messier 81's planets have been terraformed and colonized.
(Species relevant) Diet: The species is mostly carnivorous, feasting on the giant insects that can be found taking residence in Paradisum's many jungles.
(Species relevant) Language: The species once had their own language, but thanks to standard galactic becoming the more main stream language spoken around the universe their tongue quickly died out over the centuries and is now classified as a "dead language".
(Species relevant) Intelligence and emotional capacity: Like humans, they are the dominant species on their homeworld thanks to their advanced cognitive skills (things like social intelligence/planning and reasoning) and prefrontal cortex.
(Species relevant) Reproduction: Reproduction is highly regulated, parent(s) must meet with a panel of psychological evaluators that work under their local genetics lab and undergo an interview that will determine if they are fit to have children. Upon approval from all six members of the panel DNA is extracted from the parents (if it is a single parent they are allowed to select a second sample from a list of approved donors) and cross pollinated. The seed is then planted in a heavily secured garden hidden off-world in a nameless sector of the galaxy, there the seed will be held for two to three months until they reach maturity. Once mature they are then taken back to their homeworld to be introduced to their family for the first time.
Political system: Constitutional monarchy
Classification: Unitary planet
Religion: Mostly monotheistic as they believe they were created by a goddess called "Mother Rose", though atheism is becoming a quickly growing trend amongst the populous.
Extra: - Hybrid flowers are most common
- Society is technologically advanced
- Military is considered the most powerful in the galaxy
