So the older one’s abusive daddy apparently died a year ago, and the house, such as it is, is now hers?
Gawd... I am expecting a real mess in there. Especially assuming daddy wasn’t very particular about keeping the place cleaned up. I bought a house from an estate once. The deceased owner’s had maintained it pretty well, and their kids, who sold it, had gotten all their parent’s stuff out and made it presentable for showing. But it sat empty for a few months, and the former residents had owned dogs as pets. When we took posession, the place was so infested with fleas that we had to flea-bomb the whole house!
After being abandoned for a year, if nothing else her former home is likely to be infested with insect problems and other vermin. And I can’t believe a guy like that would have taken good care of the possessions she abandoned, after she ran away. I just hope it will be possible to at least fix it up enough to be able to sell it. With all the bad feelings they both have about this town, and about her life in this home, I can’t imagine them being happy living there for very long.
I hope I am wrong about most of that...

Well time to lose New Dawn forever. All they need are a couple of bodies and enough gasoline to be sure that place goes up like a Roman Candle. Then as they watch the last vestiges of their old life go up in flames having successfully faked their own deaths they can drive away singing the "Fun Song."
