Character Sheet for Brant the Hedgehog
Character Description
Brant is the male twin, he and his sister Nula conceived and carried at the same time by Amy Rose, but while Nula is Sonics daughter, Shadow is Brants father.
After an incident when the children were toddlers, Shadow took Brant in to hiding, and he has been raised away from his family. He is fully aware of his sisters existence, but had no idea that she was kept in the dark about him. He and Shadow spend many years deep undercover, where Brant hides his true identity from anyone who meets him
Personality
Brant hides his true identity, but not his character, so though he is in disguise most of the time he does not choose to hide in the shadows. He wants nothing more than to be with his Mother and twin sister, but being told his presence puts them in danger he stays away. He loves them both, even when parted.
Brant is quiet, but utterly fearless. His bold actions have got him in to trouble, but he is a smooth talker and can flirt or talk his way out of most problems. However, if his anger is sparked, he can be very violent, and that violence is cruel. This is especially so when it comes to Nula, being very protective of her to the point of possessive.
He does well in his own company, but spending most of his life on the move and meeting new people, he is approachable and far friendlier than his Father. He is smart, and seeing horrors on many occasions, humble.
Likes/Dislikes
Brant loves food of all kinds, indulging in treating himself to all range of delicacies and rarities. He can have a sweet tooth, but primarily he likes savory snacks. Spending time underground meant food was sometimes scarce or unsatisfying, so once he is in the open he treats himself often.
He doesn't like elitist behaviour, taking a Robin Hood view of things. People believing they are better than others infuriates him, and is the first thing he tries to stop his twin from doing.
Background/History
Brant has a range of powers, passed down from his parents. He can call forth weaponry and has mild psychic ability, much like Amy. The Black Arms DNA has also been passed to him, and he has untapped Chaos power...but much like his Father he wears inhibitor rings to keep them in check.
He shows his power from very early on, having difficulty controlling them to start with. It is because of this, that when 'The Event' happens the blame is laid at his feet. After being separated from his family, Shadow raises Brant alone, concentrating on making him careful with his temper and controlling his powers.
As he gets older he can no longer stand being apart from his twin sister, so defies his Father and hunts her down. He is besotted with her, and angry that she has been raised to believe she was an only child. Using his knowledge and GUN connections, he travels to different worlds to find out a way to remove Nulas collar, so that her psychic link to him is no longer hindered.
Relatives/Family
Amy Rose is his Mother, Shadow is his father, and until The Event he is also raised by Sonic. Nula is his only sibling.
He is raised alone, never growing a strong bond with anyone but his Father. Shadow raises him well, but with minimal physical affection.
World/Setting
Sonics world, a mixture of influences, mostly comic.
Body
Brant is a deep indigo. He has white chest hair that increases as he ages. The Black Arms DNA gives him a red stripe down the centre of his head, and a small line across the back of his hands. These are hidden, and the stripe dyed, for most of his early life to stop anyone connecting him to Shadow genetically.
He loses a chunk of his right ear at ninteen years old.
Clothing
Gloves and bands when he is able. For many years he is buried in hoods and hiking boots.
He has his own air shoes, not as fast as his Fathers but a decent speed. They are not powerful enough for brief flight, and he mostly uses them when they are travelling.
Accessories
Brant wears his inhibitor rings most of the time, though really he only needs them when fighting,
