Sleeping in my crib, unaware of the present that's awaiting me in the morning: a Silver / Gin plush, from the manga and anime Silver Fang / Ginga Nagareboshi Gin!
The original idea was for my diaper to be messy too, but for some reason I never got quite happy with how it looked (and apologies to the poor artist who I had to do all the versions!). In the end I found the non-messy version to look the most appealing to me, personally, but you can see the other versions here as well.
God jul, everyone.
Digression time!
In Norway - and I believe in most of Europe - it's traditional to open one's presents on Christmas eve as opposed to Christmas morning. But of course, there are variations from family to family. For example, me and my brother used to be allowed to open one present the night before Christmas eve - which would be December 23rd.
I do like the idea of having a present waiting for you in the morning though. I fondly remember getting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sewer play set from my parents. Not quite sure if I got it as a birthday present, or just "randomly" for no particular reason. I also knew I'd be getting it before I got it. It was purchased in Denmark by one or both of my parents, and they wouldn't arrive home until after my bedtime. So I'd requested it'd be placed in my room so it'd be there when I woke up. Which it was. And it was amazing. I think they'd thrown in an action figure too. One of my fondest childhood memories, even if it has gotten a tad fuzzy through the years.
