Character Sheet for Chiyo
Character Description
Chiyo is the resident doctor to the Resistance. She is newly qualified but dedicated to her craft. She is betrothed to Espio, a marriage arranged by his Mother as it is Espio's wife who will eventually head the clan. Unbeknownst to everyone but Espio's Mother, Chiyo is on a dark mission she must compete if she wishes to earn her role as bride to him and Bride to the Shinobi Clan
Personality
Much like Espio, a product of the strict upbringing beset upon chameleon children, Chiyo is fairly stern. She comes across as arrogant, but she only claims to be correct when she truly feels she is. She has little time for affection and soothing her patience, but she learns how vital a beside manner can be. There is a rebellious streak to her, especially when her morals are tested.
Likes/Dislikes
Chiyo dislikes noise, finding it too distracting. With an active mind she cannot find peace in meditation, so likes to wander alone at night. At work she barely eats, but at home she indulges in large meals and has a sweet tooth. She fears the sea for it's movement, and loves lake for they are still.
Background/History
In the chameleon belief system, a female with two or more horns is a sign of austerity and wise leadership, but they are also rare. When Chiyo is born, she is given to the Shinobi clan to be raised a one of them. Discovering she cannot camouflage well, Espio's Mother decides, as she cannot be a ninja, that she will be trained as an assassin. She is skilled with a sword, but showed a true knack for poisons and potions.
Proving to be as smart as the fates predicted, she takes up medicine from an early age. Away from the clan at University, she loses taste for the ancient medicines she grew up using, and embraces the new world. Her teen years are spent both learning to kill, and learning to save. She knows of her role as a future bride, and though she finds the idea archaic she is willing to marry Espio for the sake of taking over as clan leader.
Relatives/Family
Her family are outsiders. Rejected from the Shinobi clan for their violent ways, they live on the outskirts of society. When Chiyo is born with two horns, her Mother sees her chance to get back in to the clan and immediately gives her daughter up.
Chiyo will not see her real family for many years, but harbors resentment towards them for treating her like a commodity.
When she is older, she and Espio will have a daughter of their own, Chiyo remaining faithful to her role as a Bride and a wife.
World/Setting

Body
Orange body, pale peach muzzle and heart shaped markings on torso. Strong legs. Sharp, yellow eyes. Crest is rounder and shorter than Espio's, but roughly the same shape.
Two toes on feet. Retractable claws. The skin on her cap can vary in shade depending on mood (this replaces her ability to camouflage)
Clothing
As a young assassin she is always with her katana, wearing a simple kimono top and cropped trousers. Her Doctors uniform has a touch of an oriental look to it, to keep her connected to her homeland. Once older and more settled, her clothing is less restrained.
Accessories
As a child, her katana, and though she has this when she is older she hides her history as an assassin from everyone so keeps it hidden.
Once married, she wears the band Espio has made for her from one of his own wristguards. This she wears out of sentimentality, as well as two other rings as official wedding bands. these she wears on her horns, not her fingers
