What an excellent work of art! The composition, selective detail, lighting, and sense of motion (and inertia) - everything is lovely. Great use of perspective as well, both regarding the foreshortening and lengthening of the character's anatomy and the composition of the setting. It feels not like a character posed, but like an individual that has weight and strength moving through a three dimensional space.
I think the only thing that strikes me as missing is fragments of debris raining from his hair and fur and perhaps a tear or two in his pants, but that is a minor nit-picky point regarding what is otherwise an awesome piece. Even then, I understand the absence, because the style you are going for does not appear to demand photorealism.
