"What do you need me to do to get a good shot, bud? Up on my back legs? On the railing?"

Feather fidgets with the zoom of his camera. You hear him rattle off a few snaps of the approaching carts before he focuses on the finish line. "Just stay still, I have a good angle here."

You stay still for him. The three cheer leaders launch into their routine as the two fastest carts fight for first place. The crowd starts to cheer as they grow closer and closer, erupting out in shouts and applause as they zoom past the finish line. Feather's camera fires off rapid snapshots as the two cross, the second place cart having barely edged into first place at the last moment!

Feather flutters up in excitement, cheering along with the crowd. You join in as the rest of the racers start to catch up to the finish. The carts all slow down and pull out from the track, aggregating near the town hall directly behind you. The last cart pulls in and everybody makes their way over.

"C'mon Muds! I gotta get shots of the trophies!", Feather says as he flutters off. You follow him close to the front of town hall, where a platform has been raised up with spots for the winners to stand.

You find yourself amidst the crowd, making your way towards Feather until you're at the front of the group. He plops back down onto your back and readies his camera again as Cheerilee stands in front of the platform. She announces the winners of the race, each walking up and hopping onto their spots in third, second, and first place. Feather snaps pictures of each as the school teacher passes them their trophies.

Perky and Peachy shake their pom-poms in the air and Cheerilee requests one last round of applause for all of the racers. The crowd cheers once more and a few confetti cannons fire off from the balcony of the building, showering the winners in a bright rain of colors.

Cheerilee announces the opening of a few nearby food stands, which the jovial crowd begins to flow towards to end the celebration with snacks. The main event, however, is over.

Perky Prep hops down from the stage and tucks away his pom-poms. Featherweight is still on your back and now has all his pictures he needed to take, but still needs to run by his house to get his photo album. Barley Grind is somewhere in the crowd.
