Seraphim are the highest ranking and most authoritative angels, while few in number, they are the most powerful of all the inhabitants of Šāmayim (Heaven) and carry out most of the essential duties not delegated to those lower than them.
They are beings of burning nuclear fire, and even being in the vicinity of one would be enough to disassociate the molecules in most natural beings' bodies. Thus, in order to interact with the natural world, they take forms of great, burning persons with six wings and command of flame.
Though not the most aggressive or insidious of their kind, they are very much a force to be reckoned with, and the most powerful and highest ranking of all is the angel, Metatron.
