Background/History
As the new student in his highschool he was often bullied until the fateful day that Mikey (who at the time was still competetive) was doing his roadwork and stumbled upon Akira being harrased bya few students who are then dealt with surprisingly quickly. This inspires the boy to join the gym under the tutelage of Mikey.
World/Setting
Basically the same as ours except mostly populated by dogs. In this world peoples respective dog breeds play directly into their physical characteristics specifically in their fighting abilities
