I saw a movie with my GF recently that reminded me of these two. the movie was "Arashi no Yoru Ni", and it's a bout a goat and a wolf that become friends. that reminded me of Xai and Blade here~

Xai is my fursona, an innocnet little raccoon, and blade his is best friend, a Seviper, a snake. (a Pokémon snake =D)
These two are like brothers, despite the fact that xai is beant to be blade's food xD. here's a litlte picture showing the brotherly intemacy between these two. a little friendly banter.

people seemed to not understand what was going on here.
Blade is teasing him by putting him in a headlock and givving hi ma noogie wit hthe hard pointy bit of the sword on the end of his tail (but thankfully not the sharp part). it's a schoolyard game kids play i think called say uncle, which apparently is derived from a word from some language meaning "mercy". the game is basically a bullying one. people torture each other until the other cries uncle first. when you say it you loose. it's like a battle of dignity or something.

... "Uncle" is literally just a word for the brother of your mother or father. It's not derived from some word from some language.

I know what an uncle is! lol
What i was saying is there was a cartoon I saw where one of the characters, think it was one of the sisters in johnny test, who said that it's not actually meant to be "uncle" but was derived from a word that meant "mercy", that makes sense given the context of the game.
