I hate seeing her so upset, but you've done a fantastic job with capturing the emotions of the moment. Strong emotions like anger and sadness seem to be the easiest to do wrong but you've got it just perfect, I think. I like how the lighting and the sort of washed out colors help with that, too. It makes the whole world around her look bleak and cold, and it's a nice touch.

Fuf did an outstanding job with her portrayal of the emotions. I commissioned both Fuf and Mop with the exact same thing and had it very vague so that both could come up with their own interpretation. I had put the request in some time ago but had not expected them to come out before February. I will attempt to have largely recognized holiday theams as the months pass on. i kinda know the meaning of the day but realistically it's one of the three days of the year with the highest number of suicides, other two days being thanksgiving and Christmas, and where as those are valid holidays, Valentines day is the only one which deliberately ridicules lonely people and where people being broken hearted by rejection is legit part of the celebration.
Reality is that kids are not fun or cute, they're cruel, selfish, and simple, and a lot of schools are little by little banning it because 1, it is a religious holiday (specifically Catholic in it's current incarnation) and 2, most kids don't bring valentines gifts for everyone, which is emotionally harmful. As far as I'm concerned it can be deleted from all calendars and forgotten forever...
