I'm not sure where to start with this picture. I think the idea behind it is clear, I wanted to do a Dead Space artwork, but I dont really know why. I mean I really loved playing through the game and enjoyed it, but I wouldnt consider it as one of my favorites of all time, mostly because of the almost nonexistent main character. I mean they got a fluently animated, good modelled character with a compelling motivation, but they never did any with it until the sequel, I always found that strange.
Anyway, about the picture: The helmet design drove me nuts. I mean we all know how the original helmet looks like, but to shift its design so it could fit on an animal head with a muzzle and still maintaining that design, was really difficult. I think the result is okay, seeing as the glowing parts make no more sense than in the original game. :P The design itself is more or less a hybrid of the suits from the first and the second game, though the main focus is still on the original suit.
