If there's something rare that Glory does, it's dress up. For her, there's no better wardrobe than a closet full of hoodies, loose shirts, her favorite socks and sneakers, and plenty of scrunchies to bind up her super long hair and tail. Freedom in street clothes, comfy, warm and easy to put on and take off, as the case may be.
But, there is that rare occasion when River can convince her that, maybe, she'd 'look better in this dress I just got from a friend...'
With a certain blue mare listening from around the corner, nearly spitting under her breath at Glory's own groans.
Not like the dress was unattractive. Far from it, it was gloriously well-made, a lovely red-pink, paired with high heels from River's personal collection and a pair of silk stockings capped with lace. A pink sash and bow to complete it, too, it suited her.
It was just the effort of it all.
But, three hours after, when she was finally dressed and at the party, standing on that lonely dance floor as music played over salvaged speakers... it all felt right.
Right, certainly, but not worth it.
Not until a stallion accepted her gracious invitation and took her for a dance.
Once she learned, had gone through a few partners and eventually danced with one of her best friends?
...It felt right.
And it was worth the effort.
