An understandable response, but I can't entirely agree with it. She is supposed to be a future queen, and has been pretty empathetic throughout this story. It would be better if she could somehow block the flood to allow all to escape, or maybe somehow help clear all of them before its too late.

Save the idiot, while directing both groups toward any exits that aren't flooded. Tell the bigger dragons to carry anyone injured, and the changeling's should transform to anything big and strong to make sure paths are clear! Some will listen, and any that do might save more lives! But save the idiot, because as foolish as he is, he can't learn to be better if he doesn't survive!
