I started working on this polymer clay phoenix sculpture in December and got it done by the end of the month. I got into doing polyclay sculpture a couple of years ago but started having repetitive motion problems with my wrists and quit for a while. Now I'm back and feeling much better about it. I have a nearly complete large sculpture of Sylvia from Wander over Yonder too and should finish it up soon. I kind of lost interest in it after the show was canceled so suddenly but I'm going to complete it now. She has a magnetically attached saddle and bridle and stuff. I've got more sculptures and other things in progress too, including one secret project that shouldn't take much longer.

The orb is a calcite sphere and can be lit from below. I have a super bright LED lighting board to do that and just have to get a base for her finished now that I have a 1-3/8" Forstner bit to bore a recess for the board. When it's complete I'll post some shots of her lit up here. She's beautiful that way.
