Character Sheet for Sandro
Character Description
Sandro is the result of a scenario where the little boy purchased 5 turtles instead of 4.
I tried to be as faithful to the story and characters as I could. And make it fit with the group dynamic.
- Name -
The name is just like the others and will be one of the renaissance artists.
I kinda went through them and picked the one I recognized from his art.
Which was Sandro Botticelli, the painter who made The Birth of Venus.
(At first I wanted to pick Salvador Dali, but he isn't from the renaissance. And he would prob get picked on by being named "Sally" :p)
I really love the name Sandro. It ends with a "o", like 3 of the 4 names. (But it divides into 2 parts while the others have 3 - 5 parts.)
Shortened it can be either "San" or "Sam" (San is Japanese ish, San San xD).
Nicknames: Sammy or Sanbro?
Personality
- Personality -
As a person Sandro is a quiet turtle and has a lot of patience.
He doesn't start conversations too often but he's nice to talk with.
Because of his patience it takes a lot to tick him off. But if he happen to get angry, he might hit harder than he wanted and regrets it later.
(Unlike Ralph, pissed Sandro is just as focused.)
Even tho he is intelligent, he tends to understand things too literally sometimes.
(Something Mickey likes to exploit.)
Likes/Dislikes
- hobby -
As a hobby Sandro is into arts. Mostly traditional Japanese art, calligraphy and bodies.
He can be engrossed with this for hours. And is his main free time activity.
He is also fascinated with beauty, in a artistic way. Like watching and doing nice smooth katas.
He sometimes strays behind on patrols because he got distracted by something pretty.
He hates it people mess with his stuff and disorganize things.
He also gets very frustrated by minor or stupid mistakes.
Background/History
When growing up Sandro was fascinated by the pictures in Splinters books about art in Japan.
He started copying the kana and pictures, later creating them himself.
When he started puberty ''anatomy'' was added to his favorite things to draw.
Relatives/Family

Of course just like the others he has a fine relationship with everyone.
(The ages of the turtles from old to young: Leo - Raph - San - Donnie - Mickey)
- Leonardo -
With temper San is similar to Leo, very calm and serious.
So the two get along very well.
San can give input in plans from the things and details he remembered seeing.
(because of his skill in art, San has a near perfect photographic memory.)
San fully respects Leo as brother and as leader.
Sometimes Leo would join him for the Japanese calligraphy, and San him with meditation.
- Donatello -
Even tho San doesn't really know anything about tech. He learned some of it to help Don with drawing building plans.
And he enjoys decorating Don's new inventions or drawing camouflage to protect the lair.
The two go very well together despite the lack of talking. The two turtles go completely up into their work.
World/Setting

The world is just the same so its pointless anyway. :P )

Ralph doesn't really care much for whatever silly thing his other nerd brother is doing.
But he does look for comfort with San if something happened, or other personal problems. (Which are not medical.)
His calmness soothes Ralph from his rage.

You know what Sandro's paintings are good for? Painting moustaches. Expensive paints? Let's make a paint bomb.
Mickey is the one to see how far this patience of San goes. And sometimes he sees the end of the horizon.
The results can
Or San gets him back by painting moustaches on Mickeys comics.
They can get along outside of the war, by playing video games, or teaching Mickey how to paint superhero comics.
- Master Slinter -
A like the rest of the brothers. Splinter cares for him and he respects his father.
Maybe they draw some Calligraphy together if Splinter feels like it.
San gets praised for his excellent stealth techniques, but he has to improve his muscle strength.
- April -
San and April love to talk about the antiques she has in her store. San is also the only one that doesn't break her stuff.
And April let's him hang some of his artwork in the store to make an extra buck.
- Casey -
Goes fine, as long as he doesn't touch San's stuff.
If Casey does mess something of him up, San just sighs and walks away. He's not going to lose control with guests.
Body
- Skin tone -
This was a tricky one. Because when I went to research the colour pallets, it became clear that the official art has a different pallet than what they use in the show.
The official art has brighter and more diverse colours, all the straps are the same shade, and the shells were drastically different. (One was a olive green like Donnie, and in the show it's light, mint green.)
Eventually I picked the ones from the show, since everyone associates with it better. But this meant that it had to be subtle change.
I picked a slightly lighter tone than the rest of them since it matched better with the yellow.

- Body type -
There isn't much variation in the body types. But if it's a bit different, Sandro is more on the thinner side, like Donatello.
Clothing

The brothers wear 2 primary colours and 2 secondary colours.
Since black and white aren't really colours and brown is a tertiary colour, the only 2 remaining, are yellow and green.
Yellow it is.
Even tho the plastrons are yellow, it's more balanced than green.
Accessories
- Weapon -
The weapon I really loved (and also the reason why this would only work with the 2003 turtles), Is the "Kusarigama".
It is a chain sickle where the chain is used to disarm the opponent, and the sickle to strike.
Mickey could turn his nunchucks into one in the 2012 turtles. But I would love to see a bit more.....skilled turtle...using it. (And don't get me started on Rise....)
This weapon fits Sandro's fight style and personality very well.

For Sandro, his game is stealth.
He is very quick and light footed.
Because of his hobby as an artist he has increased insight and a perfect photographic memory.
With a single glance, he can see and remember the position of every enemy in the room, and any detail.
The Kusarigama fits him perfectly, because the chain can swing very elegantly around. Its art to make it move the way you want.
With a quick move he can tear his enemy to shreds
He also likes to tiptoe while sneaking and fighting. ^^
He is however slightly less effective when outnumbered in close combat.
