No Harm No Fowl: Simon and House Concepts

We had a crazy windstorm this past week knocking the power out, downed trees, uprooted fences and brought down powerlines. It was a little bit nuts! We were lucky enough to get our power back on before Christmas, but sadly that wasn't the case for a lot of others.

With the power back, though, and the fridge safely empty now, I doodled up a little Devon and Addison in the storm ;). I had no idea conifer trees could bend so much.

Hope you all had a safe and warm Christmas and got time to spend the holidays with people you care about.

Later they were joined by a scarecrow, a tinman and a cowardly lion.
Addison wore ruby slippers...somehow.
She also wound up clawing a witch up.

"I had no idea conifer trees could bend so much." I had a friend that was sitting in a tree climber in a pine tree on our hunting club many years ago. He said the wind blew his cap off and, on the next gust, he picked the cap up off the ground and never left his tree climber. I think he was exaggerating but, I do remember it was pretty windy that day.

I'd laugh but my friend did tell the story in all seriousness. But, here in the deep south, we have extremely windy days on a regular basis. In fact, in the last month, we had 4 days where the wind was blowing as hard as is depicted here in this drawing. I ain't no light person but I was afraid of looking like Devon. LOL.
