Photoshop process

Okay, so what I have decidde to do is photoshop this image to make it look better, and, with that, I decided to let ya'll see how I do that!
Well, this is my first step. I earase everything around the actual picture that has nothing to do with it, AKA, all the lined paper and placed you could see the scanner are gone. I don't erace the places inside the image, I just color over them, but, that won't be till the next upload.
