You may have now noticed a pattern in Monkey Guy - he has a pechant for expensive things and their destruction. Why? Cuz he's a colossal douche, most of all. Behind that there may be some principle of humbling the wealthy by showing how vulnerable they and their posessions are to those with actual, physical power, an anarchic desire to hurt the elitists that try, through their lavish expenses, to distance themselves from common people, maybe even unconsciously.
...but yeah, 99% of it is just him being a douche, though.
