I've got not a lot to say here. But to be very honest... This design is just junk! >o<;

But it looks like we have until November before this movie airs. Do you guys believe we still have time to stop this cash-in atrocity? Are we REALLY gonna allow Sonic to be humiliated like this? Us, the fans, who loved Sonic growing up? Especially when they're making him a flippin juvenile delinquent?! >~<; ARE WE?!!! ;w;

I'd rather watch Sonic X as a whole three times, and pick Sonic Boom over this, even the trash games Rise of Lyric and 06! >~< I'd rather we all stay the CRUD AWAY from this movie, and we stop these kinds of live action remakes from happening anymore! Cuz no matter what they're NEVER gonna be better than the original in all the right ways. :(

I'm not gonna continue on though. ;w; Just share your thoughts on this with me please. Thanks. Ley out for now. ;3

*sigh* Why do I get the feeling that this movie will make the Blue Core Studios Sonic movie look like a masterpiece? At least that movie had Jaleel White voicing Sonic in it...at least that movie had character designs that looked faithful to the source material...at least that movie had special appearances by James Rolfe, "Stuttering Craig", and Doug Walker in it!

No, there's a live-action 'fan' movie that was produced by Blue Core Studios several years ago. You can probably find it on Youtube if you're curious.

Ooooooooh. I heard of that before, but never saw it. .w. But if so, then that would be WAY better to see than this. =w=' Heck I'd rather play Rise of Lyric and 06 than this, cuz this movie makes those 2 look like a deep story.

He was, he was the G.U.N. officer that was saved from execution by Sonic. Although, from what I've heard, there may have been plans for Doug to play the role of Robotnik in the movie. Then again, it could've just been the film makers fucking around, I don't know.

I don't care about the design, they can fuck it up all they want. I only care about the storyline in adaption movies like this. If the story sucks, then the whole movie is pointless IMO. Even if the character designs and settings suck, the story has to at least have some depth to it.
That's why I'm holding my judgment until I watch the film.
Personally, overall, I'm not surprise by the movie design, since it's suppose to make him look like he has "real" anatomy, and not cartoony like in the games and shows. Whether I like it or hate, as long as the voice actor behind him, Ben Schwartz, can pull it off, I don't mind it.
That's my two cents.

They already had a very iconic and timeless design with how Sonic looks like in the games, but in typical Hollywood fashion, that apparently was not enough and felt the need to have THEIR fuggly interpretation of what the character should look like.

Is it really that hard for these people to have faith in the original design and just embrace the cartoony look of the character? It says a lot of how the Pokemon movie is doing a much better job at imagining what the game characters would look like in the real world.

*sigh* guess the only consolation left is Sonic's cameo in the new Wreck-it Ralph movie, which actually pays respect to the original design.
