“Leonardo sat on the floor of Raphael’s room, holding his brother's red blanket tightly in his arms, hard crying refusing to stop.
“Blue. I assumed to find you here.” Hearing his father’s voice calling him Leonardo turned his head, refusing to remove his nostrils away from red fabric which still held Raphael’s scent so strongly.
“Why it had to be him, pops…? It should had been me instead! … I’m useless son. Always have been - always will be…” Leonardo sobbed voice trembling, broken heart aching in his chest.
Splinter smiled as he stopped behind his son. “You are not useless, my son. Never haven’t been. You are now the oldest and therefor a leader. Make your big brother proud.”
Turning around Leonardo’s tears kept rolling down on his cheeks, blurring his vision. Reaching his arms towards his adopted father he was invited in warm and soft hug. Something what he never hadn’t got from his father but right now he needed it more than anything… And it was very comforting in this time of sorrow.”

Something what hit my mind today. Boys have been in a tall building which suddenly has collapsed because of heavy explosion. Raphael has got seriously injured but he still stands, holding collapsing parts above him and his brothers so that they can escape. Leo refuses to leave so Raphael orders Don to drag Leo out - which Don does with Mikey’s help. It’s not easy for them either to leave heavily bleeding Raphael behind. Eventually, because of blood lost, Raphael gives in and the building collapses on him, crushing him to death.
