A bright and joyful raccoon as I've shown is not how she is much of the time. Suffering from periods of depression and numbness, her mind fraught with frightening thoughts and hallucinations.

I just wanted to do a quick little painting, I had some ideas regarding this yet to be named raccoon I've been drawing recently. I might do some more quick paintings like this tonight.

hmm, that's something a lot of people don't understand about anxiety and depression is how persistent these intrusive thoughts are. You can only fight them for so long before they force their way through. That's what makes these problems so hard to deal with. They can incapacitate and overwhelm you and sometimes there's just no escape. Sadly there aren't a lot of viable solutions either.
