I really would like to learn drawing clouds, and this picture is an attempt for that. I still don’t know what is the best and easiest way for me. I tried to use different brushes, and I tried  drawing them in a cartoonish way as well. So far I've come to the conclusion that it depends on the situation, wich one works the best. When I draw it in a catoonish way, I feel the result is closer to my taste, but sadly it’s really time consuming (for now, at least). So it seems it won’t be beneficial in my comic projects when I have to finish a page in a limited time. So most of the cases it will be better to use the cartoony style just for single images or in short projects.

By the way, I still have difficulties to “feel” the clouds and to understand their shapes. I feel I  still need tons of practice. (Like in so many other things too.) Somehow I really want to be good at this, because something really touches me about clouds :D There’s something calming and inviting about them.

I used references for the pictures, and I just thought to put my characters enjoying the view on the picture as well :)

A respectable attempt. Clouds came easy for (literally the only thing I can draw.) Wisps upon the air, vapor, comparable to a couple of cake recipes I know... Picture yourself at the base of a waterfall, the mist washing over you, that's what clouds are. You feel it, but it carries on, ignoring you were ever there.

Getting some hardcore 80s anime vibes here. Super digging it.
