Background/History
Derek was born by a human mother and a Mobian father. He was trained by his father who was one of the Magister's fighters. Derek learned some speed techniques from his father like the spindash, spinjump, light speed dash, even the Dragon Cyclone. He also mastered swordfighting using the sword of his father as well as his magic. With them, he is able to fight against any dark force. But few years later, an evil scientist named Dr. Fitzgerald invaded the planet of Anderia. He dominated every region of the continent and destroyed many who guards them. Derek's family tried to stop them only to have Gerald killed. Derek watching his father die from the hands of a madman, his heart burned with infuriation, took the sword from his father, and furiously attacked everything belonging to Dr. Fitzgerald. Facing him, Derek and the evil scientist had a long fight that ended when a bunch of soldiers helped him defeat the evil scientist causing him to surrender. The war ended. Leaving many Mobians, Avalicians, and humans dead, some are taken for torture or cyberization. While sleeping, Derek was visited by a spirit which appears to look like his father.
The spirit said: "Son, before i go, i must have one promise you have to keep. As new owner of the sword and gloves, you must be my new successor. Take care of them in your adventures in the future. Be a hero like your father. Protect the planet. As well as Mobius and Avalice. That is all i have to say by now. Farewell." After listening to the speech, Derek knew what he has to do. He promised to take care of the weapons he cherished from his long gone father and protect the land from any threat. Since Dr. Fitzgerald returned to finally have revenge, he planned to steal the most important artifacts known as the Crystal Orbs and the Core Octahedron which served as the only power source for the Kingdom of Anderia. When Derek heard about this, he has set off to adventure with his trusted friend Claude meeting new friends such as Jack, Dede, Travis, Mileena, Lilac, as well as new rivals like Yagoshi, Tonario, Drake, Tsubaki, Onaga and others. With all their powers combined, they will have enough power to stop the evil scientist from invading the three worlds.
