It's only with those he truly cares about that Shadow lets down his guard. Omega may not be a walking arsenal after gaining an organic body, but they still regard each other the same, and Shadow is willing to let himself be held by his larger companion when he feels tired, conflicted, or is simply wants to cuddle with someone he can call his friend and even lover.
