Tapps wanted to follow in his father's hoofsteps and become a Marine. Vangaard is the Commandant of the elite Royal Marines and decided to check to see how his youngest son was doing in Boot Camp. Looks like Tapps was cleaning up and forgot the square his helmet before his father showed up.
