I recently learned my rats were killed, it destroyed my workflow and mood but I am trying to push forward. Any of you who talked to me before of them, you know how wonderful those sweethearts were and all the love they had in their tiny hearts, only ever wanting to cuddle and play and stick their nose in your business. I love you Maggie and Tess. Love your animals everyone

I used to have pet mice, so I know what you mean. Although they were never killed, they lived good and happy lives, and gave me much love. I stopped having pet mice, as I couldn't keep up any further, after 6 years and nine mice. I never regretted them, and marked where I buried them with a small mouse statue.

Remember the happy times you've had with your rats, and they'll always be with you.

Ouch killed? Not just passing from old age but killed? Hope it wasn't a neighbor or something similar. Rogue insects and wild life are enough where I am.

I have 3 pet rats myself little girls and they are so friendly and loving hard to imagine anyone doing a deliberative action like that . Rats are misunderstood animals and a whole lot more intelligent than people in general realize . This may sound strange but hopefully you can enlighten the person that killed your pets or set things in motion for it to understand the real damage they have done

Her own laziness and negligence and terrible uncaring raising of her own animals is why my girls lead horrible deaths. I entrusted them to a dear friend while i was away for this trip ans all was well till this last week streach. He wasnt home ans they ooened the door and didnt care enough to even pay attention to theor horribly trained animals who broke i to it.. the hardest part is knowing they had horrible deaths and their last moments were betrayal. I taught them to love everyone and trust everyonem thry wouldof run right up to that dog and cat wanting to make friends. Their lost moments were betrqyal and a miserable death.. eviscerated.. thats how thry were found.

All because she didnt close that door as he left it.. or watch her animals.. either one.. or stop thrm with any suspicious noise.. all of it was preventable.

Shit, that's horrible! I had a loose dog maul one of my cats in the neighbor's yard some years ago, suffice to say we had to euthanize the cat (Barney). Afterwards I was angry to the point of wanting to kill the dog responsible, but without being able to be absolutely certain I'd find the right dog and having no proof to prevent legal repercussions, I had to let that go. If I'd had a deadly weapon to hand at the time it happened though... Can't stand when people let big cat-killing dogs run loose in the neighborhood. Anyhow, enough about me. Sorry for your loss and the betrayal of your trust, clearly this person can't be trusted with other's pets.
