This idea popped into my head when I noticed that the new Zelda from Skyward Sword has Twilight's bangs. I think I mixed in references from at least three Zelda sources, though.
Only two by my count, the 80's zelda cartoon and what most people imagine the ending to every zelda game is like. Sorry for pulling the zombie thread trick...

Hehe, no problem. Comments are appreciated, no matter when they come.
As for the "three" references, obviously there's AJ's dialogue from the 80's cartoon, Twilight is roughly made to look like Zelda from Skyward Sword, and that leads to the title (Twilight Princess).

That shield was also the Orcarina of time version of the Hylian Shield, the blue on the face was darkened in each game after it. (Fun fact ftw!) P.S. I could tottaly see Rainbow Dash as midna.

Indeed, it's just the whole concept of Doctor Whooves as seen in the fanfiction seems like it could be a great idea. The Doctor ends up in equestria via the tardis and starts helping the mane six fight creatures that come hunting the doctor. like the cyber men, dalek, and the weeping angels.

In the episode "Owl's Well That Ends Well," Twilight has what appears to be a pony angel statue in her library (this statue has not been there in any other episode, by the way). In one shot, Twilight is standing with the statue behind her. Then, she turns around, it switches to a POV perspective, and the statue is no longer there. Realistically, it was probably just an animation error, but at the time, it inspired a fair amount of weeping angels fan art.

That reminded me of a scary story I read once. A young lady is hired to watch over the children of a couple as they go on a date, over the course of the night she feels as if she is being watched but, the only thing with eyes besides the children in the whole house is a life-size clown statue. As she prepares to tuck in the children and leave she calls the parents. After giving her report she then asked if she could cover up the creepy clown statue to which the father replied "Take the children and get out of the house we don't own a clown statue." Creepy right? On a seperate note, have you seen the Doctor Whooves and assistant youtube series? It's pretty cool.
