Welp, serious moment. BACKSTORY!

For most her lifetime up until age 21, Shun had been a huge handful. Yes she damn well took initiative learning various things on her own to become a frightening force, but her efforts and drive were also based off the disdain she had against him since childhood (age 6), and not just the murderers. More specifically, the night the estate's raid, when her mother had been "taken".

Shun (a.k.a. Kyoka) always blamed her death on her father lacking the strength to've saved her, and vowed to gain the power to overcome any threat. Thus, she'd always give her father a hard time. Numerous scares and scars were common place with that disdain- Shun undertook high level military assignments, assassin hunts, and positions working herself to the bone, endangering her own life many a times for the sake of gaining experience and power! Imagine how hard it must've been for not so Old Man Toshi (Only 37 years old at the time of reconciliation!)

That all being said, Toshiro was usually worried 'sick' about Shun and Xave, watching Shun from the distance she allowed. He always wished he could do more! Things gradually got better when they reached age 17 as Shun began unwinding bit by bit. And it was 'after' the war (age 21) that she finally decided to disclose her recently bubbling feelings of guilt and shame to her father. And ultimately, she realized her treatment onto him wasn't fair. How heartaching all those years must've been for him.

All turned out exuberantly, tear jerkingly well. Shun would grow even stronger as an individual with that MUUCH needed heart to heart between father and daughter. Both gained a solid family bond between them! Holes within their chests were addressed.

Even THIS powerful warrior has her moments. lol
